PaymentsWay: what it is and how a wellness studio in Colombia charges with it

Updated on October 7, 20265 min read

PaymentsWay is a Colombian payment gateway (Payments Way Solutions S.A.S., Bogotá, founded 2018, PCI-DSS certified) that lets a business accept PSE bank transfers, credit and debit cards, and cash through networks such as Efecty, Baloto and Su Red. It is natively integrated in Ollynk: a studio in Colombia connects its account under Integrations and clients pay for packages, memberships and classes with the methods they already use, with every charge reconciled to their profile automatically.

What is PaymentsWay?

PaymentsWay is an online payments platform operating only in Colombia. It offers two models: Aggregator, where PaymentsWay collects the money and pays it out to the business, and Gateway, where the business uses its own bank affiliation and negotiates custom pricing. For a boutique studio the Aggregator model is the usual choice: no direct bank agreement is needed and activation takes days.

It supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover cards, the PSE button for debit from any Colombian bank, cash payments with a code at Efecty, Baloto and Su Red, and Bre-B QR payments. It also offers card tokenization for recurring charges, payment links and an embeddable widget.

Why it matters for a studio in Colombia

In Colombia a large share of clients prefer paying with PSE or cash over an international credit card. A studio that only accepts cards loses sales at checkout, especially on class packages where the ticket is higher. PaymentsWay covers exactly those local methods.

Reconciliation is the other advantage: every payment is tied to the client and the package purchased inside Ollynk, with nothing captured by hand and no bank statements to cross-check at month end.

  • PSE: direct debit from any bank in the country
  • Credit and debit cards, with tokenization for recurring charges
  • Cash with a payment code at Efecty, Baloto and Su Red
  • Payment links to sell over WhatsApp or Instagram

How much does PaymentsWay charge?

The published Aggregator rate for cards is 3.00% + COP 800 per transaction, plus 19% VAT on the fee. Payment links are published at COP 800 per transaction. PSE, wallet and cash fees are quoted directly with PaymentsWay and may vary by volume. Ollynk adds no commission on your sales: you pay the provider's fee and nothing else.

How it integrates with Ollynk

PaymentsWay is a native payment method in Ollynk, available on every plan. You enable it under Integrations → Payment providers with your PaymentsWay credentials, per location, alongside Wompi, Stripe or PayPal.

Once active, clients see PSE, card and cash as options when buying a package or membership from the app, the website or a payment link sent over WhatsApp. The charge shows up on the sales dashboard like any other, with the client, package and payment method identified.

  • Per-location activation under Integrations
  • Coexists with Wompi: offer both and let the client choose
  • Recurring charges with tokenized cards for monthly memberships
  • Sales reports by payment method, exportable to Excel

PaymentsWay or Wompi: which one?

Both Colombian gateways are integrated in Ollynk and can run side by side. Wompi (Bancolombia) stands out for Nequi, the Bancolombia button and fast payouts if your account is with Bancolombia. PaymentsWay stands out for cash coverage (Efecty, Baloto, Su Red), the Gateway model with negotiated rates at higher volumes, and payment links. Many studios enable both and let the client choose.
